I love this story, it was always one of my favorites as a child! I'm actually writing an adaptation of it for a contest. The artwork is positively stunning, and I'm sad it hasn't gotten more exposure! I love how it has a playfulness, but also a quiet contentment to it, much how imagined life was like once the girls grew accustomed to their nightly visit from the bear. I REALLY really love this, Bravo!
I don't believe there is anything to say that ThornyEnglishRose didn't already phrase so sweetly. This picture is a lovely contrast between bright and dark which is how I believe old fairy tales SHOULD be depicted. These were stories of truly horrifying magic and pure-hearts in peril. I absolutely love this image.
This is a fantastic interpretation of the fairytale. You really captured the warmth and the intimacy of friendship, and the innocence of the two sexually mature girls petting the bear shows in their faces and body language; but at the same time I think this hints at sexual awareness, at least as far as Snow White is concerned. The bear's expression is slightly ambiguous, but certainly full of contentment. This is a picture to make you envious on a cold day. I love it.
